The Fail Blog

I wanted to share with you one of the funniest sites on the web – The Fail Blog. A “Fail” is anything not done properly… and the word is greatly expounded on in video & pictures at this site.

Some people might think it’s mean-spirited, and inevitably it can be.  But I have a different take on it.  I like to celebrate the fun in failing.  Sometimes we just have to laugh at ourselves and laugh at our failibility as humans. (spelling fail intended)

We always learn through our mistakes.  Now you can learn a lot from the mistakes of OTHERS and save yourself a lot of hassle and heartache.  :-)   Happy surfing!

Expelled vs. Religulous

For the humble beginnings of my Spirituality section, I wanted to point out the article I wrote about the movie “Expelled.”  Please visit my blog to read:  http://biblescience.tv/

It is interesting to note how this movie compares with a more recent movie release called “Religulous”.  Expelled was thoroughly blasted in the reviews and shamed, being called a one-sided, partisan and offensive movie.  Meanwhile, Religulous is being praised as funny, insightful, etc. even though it is at least as one-sided, offensive and partisan for many people.

I’ll need to do a more thorough article on Religulous soon, and will post my thoughts on Bible Science TV.

Presidential Election 2008

Vote2008

In these waning days of the Presidential Elections… one thing most people seem to agree on is that they can’t wait for it to be done.   Most of us have made up our minds about 14 years ago, which leaves only the celebrated “undecided” voters to sway.   And honestly, if you haven’t been able to pick one side or the other yet, what’s another week going to do for you?  Hmm…

The problem with our current system is that we only have two choices, and neither one is good enough.  Each one has major flaws (in my humble opinion) and we’re left picking the “Lesser of Two Evils”. The country is pretty much equally divided once again, so that only key battleground states get any attention.  If you live in a decidedly blue or red state… you won’t see the politicians, and your vote certainly doesn’t seem to make much of a difference either way.

What we really need is a strong leader who is going to make drastic cuts to the size of government, actually work on a budget and stop printing money non-stop, and focus on our own country first.  We’re not going to be able to save the world at the rate our country is going down the tube.

I’ve already voted… and I know its secret ballot, but I’m proud to say I voted for RON PAUL.  No, he wasn’t on the ticket, but there was a space for “Write-In” so I did.  Nobody else that I saw during this entire election process conquered apathy the way Mr. Paul did.  He was able to explain clearly a vision for a DIFFERENT America, a BETTER America.  People were thrilled to have such ideas and choices on the table.

We can only hope the next President doesn’t get us further into obligations, war and financial ruin.  Perhaps in another four years the revolution will be loud enough to finally break out of this ambivalence and false choices and give us somebody that will truly unite the country.  Join the Campaign for Liberty, and get informed about true change for this great nation.

Gas Price Humor…

I found some great comics on the high price of gas.  Sure, its dropped considerably from earlier this year, but I hope we don’t get complacent and allow our need to become energy-independent wane.  May our politicians begin the right course of action, and not forget what we went through collectively as a nation this summer.  Here’s a link to my HUMOR BLOG article on gas prices.
